which hotel is better for a man and 3 year old looking for quality and on beach or can someone recomend something else
which hotel outrigger or sheraton waikkiIn my opinion, I think the Outrigger Waikiki is better. The beach is better. I think you%26#39;ll like the hotel. Very good location. I am assuming you are referring to the Outrigger Waikiki, not the Outrigger Reef.
which hotel outrigger or sheraton waikkiOutrigger has a great location, but there have been several posts that the rooms are noisy - noise from the hall and such. With a three year old, that may be important. The Sheraton Waikiki is a large, convention-type hotel - but in the same neighborhood as the Outrigger. Both have good beaches -- they are so close to each other and the Royal Hawaiian.
The Outrigger has two fine restaurants, but they are easy to get to from the Sheraton.
One thing to consider , the pool at the Outrigger is deep , chest deep on an adult, so useless for little ones. My kids loved the beach, but they also loved swimming in the pool as they didn%26#39;t have to worry about being knocked over by waves.
I loved Outrigger Waikiki( not Reef) and in all other respects would recommend.
I don%26#39;t know about pool at other hotel .
Also when you book a room at Outrigger request a room facing Diamond Head , NOT the side flanking the Cheesecake Factory restaurant as it has a very noisey exhaust fan on its roof . We stayed facing DH as told by others to do, but on last day they gave us a room to clean up in after we had checked out( last flight out) and it faced CheeseCake side, it was so noisey you couldn%26#39;t sit out on deck or have door open( which with a three yr.old may not be an option anyways as you don%26#39;t want him climbing over rails, but , when he is asleep it would be nice to sit outside with a drink now wouldn%26#39;t it!
Now, hopefully someone will post back with the actual name of this if you ask, but there is a great beach , towards Diamond Head about a 10 minute walk down the beach from Outrigger, that is perfect for little kids as it has a breakwater built so the waves don%26#39;t break and little ones can play in sand right by shore. I think of the whole beach as '; Waikiki Beach'; when in fact it changes names along the ways serveral times.
The small beach-break on Waikiki is Kuhio beach, perfect swimming for children %26amp; adults who dont like waves.
We recently stayed at the Sheraton Waikiki, it is a big hotel. The rooms are very nice and they have 2 swimming pools, the smaller one being a good size %26amp; depth for children.
The Outrigger Waikiki always gets a good write up on TA but we have not stayed there, so I cant really give an opinion on the hotel.
The Outrigger over the Sheraton by far, but consider the New Otani Kaimana Beach Hotel as well.
I believe that the sheraton princes kaiulani (not as nice as the two hotels you mentioned) is closer to some breakwater, which I believe would be better for you liuttle one.
