We will be in Kauai at the beginning of March and we are staying in a home in Princeville. We are interested in possibly getting some kind of limo or van service to take us to dinner a couple of nights. There are nine of us and we do not want to be driving after dinner and cocktails.

Can anyone recommend a transportation company?

There is a taxi service I saw driving around quite a bit called Sue%26#39;s Taxi. I think this will be your only option. 808-635-0882.

Other than a taxi, assign a designated driver. Transportation options are not great on the island.

Agree with Jebetts and your own good common sense.

You definitely do not want to be driving imparired on our roads, especially at night. Add in a strong passing north shore shower or rain, and it is flat dangerous...booze or no booze.

We have a very high rate of alcohol and drug related problems on kauai...and this will not be in the tropical paradise publications.

Accoding to the Garden Island News, there are fifty AA meetings per week. Yep, I would say that constitutes a problem.

Good plan, have a sober pro take care of you, and enjoy the dickens out of your visit.
