Will be staying in Ocean Front at sheraton, or deluxe ocean view at Hyatt.
hyatt has breakfast as wel
also what about the beachers, ive heard the hyatt has a small beach.
Thanks!
Which have nicer rooms Maui Sheraton or HyattEveryone is just going to give you their opinion. The Hyatt has those great beds so I vote for the Hyatt. In fact I could go to the Sheraton for about 500 less a week but choose the Hyatt for many reasons. The Hyatt is on Kaanapali beach. The beach itself is filled with hotels. If you go to Youtube you can type in BlueHawaiinhelicopters, Kaanapali and they have ariel tours of the beaches and hotels. You can see it for yourself. You can also see the rooms for yourself on trip advisor. Go to the left of the page and type in the hotel name and look at candid pictures. You can walk to any hotel beach as they are all public on Maui. Plus they are all on Kaanapali beach. It is not like they(hotel beaches) are all on different beaches. he beaches were all closed when I was there due to storms and winds.
The Sheraton is on Black Rock. Just go to Youtube you can see it all. Everyone is just going to give you their opinion. The Hyatt has a fantastic breakfast and very romantic Hawaiian setting with the best pool and a StarBucks Kona cafe in the lobby. They also have the tour of the stars and one of the best luaus on Maui.
The Sheraton has the better beach, but it is walkable from the Hyatt. So it all depends on what you are looking for.
I have read though all of the reviews on the Hyatt and Sheraton and the problem is not many of the reviews of the Sheraton are actually that complimentary of the rooms. They rave about the beach though. You will get different opinions so to make sure yo get the right choice for you go to the hotel reviews and look at the picture and reviews. But you can%26#39;t go wrong with either!
Which have nicer rooms Maui Sheraton or HyattThe Hyatt is wonderful and the ocean view views are amazing. I would go Hyatt over Sheraton without a doubt. As others have told you the beach is all one strip with a boardwalk along the whole strip. You can walk to any beach but the pool area at the Hyatt is MUCH better than the Sheraton. The Sheraton could use an update.
I vote for The Sheraton. It is quieter, more spread out, and the Ocean Front rooms are to die for--in your face, nothing but ocean in front of you. Hyatt just seems more crowded and busier, and the beach isn%26#39;t nearly as nice as at The Sheraton.
We had a horrible stay at the Hyatt last August..customer service was non existent. The best part was the pool for the kids, other than that I can%26#39;t say anything was that wonderful for the price we paid. I will agree that the breakfast was nice, but you need to get there very early to avoid long line. I sent a detailed complaint about our stay to the Hyatt and they never replied. For that reason alone we will never go back...
Ocean Front rooms at the Sheraton? WOW! You look down from your lanai and see the turtles right below you. A great view of Molokai. (We watched the lightening over Molokai one night. Quite a show!)Renovated relatively recently (they moved us out to start the renovation, so that%26#39;s how I know). Great yummy beds, nice baths, very comfortable. You take a ramp and an elevator to those rooms and the views from the elevator common area are the nicest I have seen. Incredible. (If I ever decide to do a marriage vows rededication thing - that common area is where it will be!)
The Sheraton is graciously laid out along the beach front. No sense of crowding. Lots of grass and light. Excellent food services. The pool (a large long winding pool) and the reception buildings have been renovated recently as well. Best beach. Popular, but not overwheming. Short walk to Whaler%26#39;s Village.
I have been in the Hyatt a few times. I%26#39;m sure that the free breakfast will save you $$ as their buffet is pricey. The hotel itself is very large (and feels cavernous/dark to me). It has a Macy%26#39;s and other retail. Very much set up for large conferences and conventions. It%26#39;s way the heck down on the south end of the hotel strip. Lots of pools and stuff. Beach not so good. We have attended their star gazing event, and you don%26#39;t have to stay there to do that. We were at the Westin that year.
So - hey - we love the Sheraton. Will be there next week for the 6th time in 7 years.
Oh, and the Sheraton also has luaus, although I am not sure of the schedule. You%26#39;ll find good luau opportunities on Maui.
FYI -- we stayed in a room at the Sheraton once that had two lanais facing different directions. Lucky us! I also appreciate this little feature: the A/C turns off if you leave the lanai doors open. The hotel probably saves a bundle of energy that way.
Hyatt
So molnar,
Now that you are confused and torn between the two because of conflciting opinions, :) just go to the picture reveiws on trip advisor and you can also see ariel views at youtube and also see rooms at the Hyatt on youtube. Eiher way you cant go wrong. I foudnt Hyat custoemr service to be tops. I work at a 5 star hotel in NYC and the top 3rd hotel in the world. I know hotels. I don%26#39;t know much about the Sheraton%26#39;s service you will get different opinions in the different reviews. I have seen terrible ones and great ones for both hotels.
Hi I looked on youtube and will post one more for Hyatt and Sheraton rooms. There are none I could find for the rooms at Sheraton only the beach. It doesn%26#39;t mean they are not there. I just cant find it. A travel agent posted his on a Haytt Regency ,Maui room. Obvioulsy it is one of the top rooms and all rooms aren%26#39;t this big.
