Can anyone reccommend a place to stay overnight near the HVN?

Most people who post here like B%26amp;Bs around Volcano VIllage. We stayed once at Volcano House--a bit old, not fancy, but a crater view room is amazing if you can get one! Otherwise, I%26#39;d stay elsewhere if you can%26#39;t have the crater view....

I love the history and location of Volcano House-- a crater view room is wonderful.
I also like some of the B%26amp;B%26#39;s in Volcano Village, depending on your budget you have some great choices.

Last year we spent two nights at Hale Ohia and were very happy with it.

We liked the Kilauea Lodge. It was decently priced and cozy. No frills, but the free breakfast was decent and it was super-close to HVNP
First, I can%26#39;t stand B%26amp;Bs. they gived me the willies.. but there are tons up in Volcano some good..some bad. However I wont comment on then furthur
Now the Kiluea Lodge is the best sort of hotel...with some of the best food on Hawaii, and for sure the Volcano region. it is about 2 miles from the park.
Volcano House is a hotel, in the park, on the very rim of Kiluea....and in a stunning location, The food is ok...not outstanding and there are many walks form the hotel...its across the street from the Visitors center.
