Snorkeling 1st week of November

We have been to Kauai several times, but never in early November. Is it safe that time of year to snorkel on the north shore?

Sometimes. Just be sure to check the surf reports and weather conditions daily.

Aloha from Kaua%26#39;i!

In November we will be experiencing winter weather conditions -- to what extent is always the question on any given day.

Normally this means that high surf and dangerous ocean conditions occur on the North Shore -- calm oceans on the South Shore.

I%26#39;d suggest getting lots of info about North Shore beaches that you would plan on snorkeling in -- places like Ke%26#39;e Beach and Tunnels are pretty dicey many times during the winter.

Just inform yourself beforehand by checking ocean conditions and asking people who know -- if you go to a good snorkel rental place for example - any reputable place will be able to give you current conditions and tell you whether it is reasonably safe to go to a particular beach.
