where to have lunch on wedding day

Hello, getting married at 11am and I am looking for some place to celebrate for lunch (just the 2 of us) I think we are going to Orchids in the evening, any recomendations would ge greatly appreciated. It does not have to be super high end fancy but it is a special occassion.

Do you want to stay in Waikiki? If so, the Hau Tree Lanai would be nice, not too high end fancy, and not as crowded as central Waikiki. It%26#39;s a smallish open end courtyard under a hau tree in the New Otani Hotel. A 3 foot wall separates the courtyard from the sand. The New Otani is on the far Diamond Head side of Waikiki. It%26#39;s a nice walk from Waikiki (Kalakaua %26amp; Kapahulu) down the esplanade behind the aquarium and in front of the old Natatorium. Make a reservation to get a spot next to the wall and under the tree.

My favorite lunch was at the Pineapple Room. It doesn%26#39;t have the great view but the service and food were to die for! It%26#39;s at the Ala Moana Shopping Center in Waikiki, at the end of Macy%26#39;s - I know, sounds kinda weird? Trust me, it%26#39;s fabulous! I think it%26#39;s owned by Alan Wong who has the super high-end restaurant we wanted to try for dinner, but did not :(

Surf Room at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. Right on the beach, but not on the sand ... Perfect. Let them know you just got married! Nice place to have your picture taken, too.

The Banyon Veranda staurant at the old Moana Surfrider hotel is very romantic. I%26#39;ve only been for dinner (am not certain they serve lunch or not), but it%26#39;s beautiful. Old-fashioned setting with a nice ocean view.

The Mariposa at Neiman Marcus Store at Ala Moana Shopping Center is lovely.....as long as you get a lanai table. Your view is of Ala Moana Park and ocean. Fabulous.

Reservations are necessary as this is a very popular lunch spot.

Menu is varied and has something for all tastes.

lara, where is the wedding ceremony taken place? If you are getting married away from Waikiki, experience one local place before returning to Waikiki and your dinner at Orchids. Just a suggestion.

we are getting married on the beach at kaiula....

oh la la I think i like the surf room at Royal Hawaiian, I love the color pink, i think this is the one!!

For the evening, I was after something a bit more fancy....do you think Orchids is the best option or someone mentioned a restaurant up high at Sheraton...?

Romance/Ambience is the most important for me...Fiance and I are not into super fancy food, although quality is important we are not into arty french cuisne etc!

After cocktails, a song and a hula dedicated to you at the ';House Without A Key';, Orchids will be waiting for you for your wedding dinner. Be sure to inform the reception taking your reservations that you just got married and will be spending your dinner with the Halekulani and Orchids Restaurant. Your telling them will not hurt.
