My husband, myself, %26amp; another couple in there 40%26#39;s are trying to decide what island to go to. We would like to see waterfalls, a volcano, surfers, %26amp; nice beaches. We would also like to experience a luau. What island has all this to offer?
Which Island?
The big island is the only one with an active volcano. Go to the bookstore and look at the Blue Revealed books by Wizard. There is one for each island- Maui Revealed, Kauai Revealed etc. If you purchase a new edition you can get the pin word in it and get even more info on the internet and aerial views of the hotels and a lot of the condos to see how close they really are to the beach. They%26#39;re extremely informative and made our decision which to go to much much easier. Kauai is more laid back and not as much shopping or restaurants, but there was plenty for us. In fact we also went to Maui which has many more shops, but ended up actually buying more in Kauai at sort of an open air market at the spouting horn park. Kauai is breathtaking, especially if you take a helicopter ride. We also took a heli ride in Maui, but just wasn%26#39;t as impressive mainly because they had to stay off the coast because of noise restrictions. That was just our opinion. Maui is also very beautiful though and has a dormant volcano that everyone rides up to at sunrise for an awesome view. I%26#39;ve heard sunset is just as good if you%26#39;re not an early riser. Maui, especially in the Lahaina area has more shopping and nightlife. i think all the islands have luau%26#39;s that people seem to like. Anyway the Revealed books have awesome pictures and will give you all the information you need to decide which one suits you or you can do like we did and go to more than one :-) Good luck and have a great trip!
