Thinking about going to one of these in February at the Ritz Carlton. Anyone ever been? Looking for something different this time around when we visit.
Anyone been to the Slack Key Concerts at the Ritz/Napili ?
Best slack key on the islands. George K. is a grammy award winning artist. You will enjoy it immensely.

Would not miss it! Been there 3 times! Geo K brings in other slack key geniuses and a duo of ukelele ';Boyz'; that are a joy to watch and hear. Two Grammys ... that%26#39;s nothing to sneeze at.
I know that the concerts were being moved to Napili while the RC was being renovated. Great little theater in the RC, though ... initimate - and of George and his fellow musicians are so friendly.
(FYI - take a sweater.)

Aloha,
I have been to the concerts as I work at the Ritz they are great. And you will get to see theHotel fresh and New....
We just returned yesterday from Napili and attended the slack key concert last wednesday evening. It was fantastic! Could have sat there and listened for another 2 hours!.
The concerts are being held at the Napili Kai resort in their pavilion. The Ritz is currently closed for renovation. Tickets for the concert ar $45. We%26#39;ve see about every show on the island in the past 12 years of vacationing on Maui, and this is one of the most enjoyable.
Just noticed that your plans are for February. The Ritz is planning to have at least one wing re-opened in January in time for the Mercedes championship, so hopefully the concerts will be back at the Ritz%26#39;s theater by then.
My husband is a musician so this would be great for him. How often do they have concerts? Is there a website I could look at?
Wednesday nights, for now at Napili Kai

Bummer, we fly in on a Thursday and leave on Wednesday. Oh well, something for next time!
From the website:
%26gt;%26gt;Masters such as: Cyril Pahinui, Led Kaapana, Dennis Kamakahi, Ozzie Kotani, Owana Salazar, George Kahumoku Jr and more%26lt;%26lt;
No need to say anything more! I%26#39;ve never been to the concerts on Maui but have heard these great musicians play in venues ranging from Oahu lounges to BI festivals to private backyard kanikapila parties.
If you get the chance to hear them in person don%26#39;t hesitate to take it.
Wonderful real Hawaiian music from real Hawaiian legends.
