Grocery on way to Kaanapali

where is a good grocery on way to Kaanapali Beach Resort? we usually try to pick up a few basics on way to where we stay.

I will make a separate post on this, but I am still not sure of kitchens

s at Kaanapali Beach Resort, small frig and microwave oven may be most we get. Does any one know for sure? we may need less groceries.

We arrive about 1PM Oct 2 in Kahului and are headed for Kaanapali Beach Resort. First time we stay there. we have stayed in Kihei twice. And sort of know where grocery stores are there, but do not on way to Kaanapaili

Aloha! We%26#39;re arriving Oct 2nd also (not until about 6pm).

If you don%26#39;t have a Costco card I highly recommend getting one even if for the sole purpose of your Maui trip.

Stock up on bottled water and other grocery items from Costco. There is a Safeway near Kaanapali but prices are a bit of a shock compared to the northwest (we%26#39;re from WA). I stayed on Kaanapali last December and I mostly remember seeing Safeway so have a free safeway card too. My mom and I did a lot of buy-one get one free grocery deals with the Safeway card.

How long will you be there?

We will be there a week and then move on to Kauai. Our Costco card has expired we chose to not renew, fee went up to $50 or so and quick analysis says two of us do not save that much in a year.

We have been to Costco on Mauai and at Kona, but for a week do not find much we can buy. Costco quantities just too much for two of us.

We do have Safeway card and use that. Also have Maikai card for Foodland if I can find it. I googled and found foodland store in Lahaina and will do same for Safeway. and we like Longs in Hawaai so will also look for that.

we may see you on the beach or somewhere. we will already have some beer and wine from Safeway by time you arrive.

Try the Safeway in Lahaina at the Cannery. Easy parking - easy to find. You can sign up for a Safeway card if you don%26#39;t have one - and it will save you some $$. It%26#39;s free.

BLBL when you say you can sign up for a Safeway card, do you mean on the spot? We don%26#39;t have Safeway in the East where I live, but it sounds like I will need it on Maui. Thanks

Don%26#39;t know about Safeway since we already have one being from west coast, but we got Makai card from foodland on the spot. on Kauai

Thanks BLBL, I found site for Cannery and my wife is going to love it, real close to where we are staying. Safeway and Longs right together like at Kapaa on Kauai

sapphire15, yes you can sign up on the spot for safeway card.

you can even print the app online and just turn it in when you get to the nearest Safeway (even if it happens to be when getting ot Maui)

Yes you can sign up on the spot...like at the checkout when you%26#39;re paying (to get a Safeway card)....like I did one time. Might be better to get the card as you go in the store......and, you gonna love that Safeway/Long Cannery Mall shopping......

Green Acres? not sure what you mean Caddy. It is a place in beautiful NW near Spokane, and Eddy Albert was seen there a few years ago.
