Westin Kaanapali ocean resort north

I am sitting in Maui next door at the original villas. The new villas just opened next door a couple of hours ago. I just walked around and have the following observations. They tried to deal with some of the complaints of the original side. Even the studio side now has a balcony. They made the building stagger out to the ocean as to try and give a better ocean view from all the rooms vs just the rooms on the top floor. The lobby is actually raised on the second floor to give a great view out to the ocean. I will say I still like the pool better at the original side. i think they could have been more creative on the new pools. there are three pools but the are not overly special. my son still loves the water slide on the original side. i did not see the rooms but from the blue plans i saw they are smaller then the ones i own on the original side.

Here%26#39;s a webcam on the roof of the WKORV resort north building. It doesn%26#39;t scan around to show the new north buildings, but you can use it to check out the weather. Looks like they had some showers overnight and it%26#39;s a bit windy. That couple over there on the fourth floor really ought to close their drapes.
