Beachfront

Planning 4 days of r%26amp;r by myself late Feb, early March; would prefer a quiet, oceanfront unit but need to stay inexpensive and I%26#39;d prefer to not rent a car. The Best Western Oceanfront Inn seems nice; any ideas or comments?

Beachfront

BW oceanfront is on one of the best beaches on Maui, Keawakapu. Another option right next door is the Mana Kai Maui. I haven%26#39;t been inside the rooms recently, but I heard that they have done some major renovation work last fall. BW oceaneafront are pretty small rooms but in reasonable condition the last time I saw them.

Beachfront

North Kihei can be alot less expensive to stay oceanfront and Sugar Beach has some very nice areas for swimming and is not as busy as South Kihei. I recommend The Sugar Beach resort or Kihei Sands.

The Luana Kai in north Kihei is very nice and quiet. It%26#39;s also one of the more inexpensive places you will find that is beachfront.

Thanks, I should have mentioned that I%26#39;d like a swimming beach as close as possible; I might be asking a lot?

I%26#39;d go with something either in North or South Kihei then. Luana Kai while nice, does not have a great swimming beach. Keawakaou beach in my opinion is one of the nicest on the island.

Sugar Beach Resort (Condos) is great. I have stayed there twice loved it both times. Please check out my review of it under my profile.

I would recommed renting a car. You don%26#39;t have to, but because Sugar Beach is just north of Kihei, it is a short drive into town. Plus if you want to see the rest of the island, it makes it much easier.

Check out Naplili Bay. If you go on VRBO.com there are units for rent and you can%26#39;t get much closer to the beach that that! Also, the Napili area is relatively more laid back and quiet than other areas of the island.
