We%26#39;ll be staying at the ResortQuest Waikiki Beach Hotel. We%26#39;ll want to get to Pearl Harbor early, as we depart for our cruise that day. What do you suggest as far as transportation? Any idea how much a cab ride might run us? There will be 8 in the group, should we just break into two cabs or arrange for a limo?
Also, would you recommend a luau for our first night there, or something else? We%26#39;ll be in Waikiki on a Friday night, arriving around 4:00 pm.
Thank you
Waikiki - Pearl Harbor %26amp; luau'sbump
Waikiki - Pearl Harbor %26amp; luau'sCabs will be about $40 each way for each cab. So it would be about $160 for 2 cabs. So with 8 people you might be better off with a limo.
Or you could rent a couple of cars for the one night. It would cost less than the cabs.
Plus you could tour the island a little before you get on the cruise ship.
I don%26#39;t know if you could make it to a luau your first night.
Polynesian Cultural Center is best done if you have all day. Paradise Cove %26amp; Germaine%26#39;s luaus are about an hour from Waikiki.
You could make it in time for Creation: A Polynesian Journey. It is a production rather than a luau, but they have good food %26amp; the best Polynesian dancers on Oahu. Pilialoha Gaison, Miss Hawaii 2006, is one of the dancers. It is in an inside ballroom at Sheraton Princess Kaiulani Hotel.
Dinner starts around 5:30. If you don%26#39;t think you can make it in time for dinner, then you can get cocktail show seating. Same show, you just get seated later.
Info about the show %26amp; a coupon.

If you would rather attend a beach luau, them do so on one of the islands where you will stay overnight.
This link has some of the names %26amp; numbers of limo %26amp; cab companies on Oahu:

You can probably Google the name of some of the companies for websites.
Thank you Dusty
Do the car rental places offer shuttle service to the pier?
