I know there are tons of wedding posts on here and I am trying to sift through them all. We plan to get married in September 2008 and need to find a place to take our guests after the wedding. We plan to get married on the beach up on the North Shore and then go out afterwards. Thinking 15-20 people.
I saw some posts for Bali Hai at HBR saying good things. Any suggestions from people who have done this?
Also we had orignially planned to have our guests over the night before for apps/drinks but most vacation rentals don%26#39;t seem to allow larger groups. Any ideas??
Thanks!
Wedding - Restaurants night before and after
The Bali Hai will reopen in a few months and it is a lovely setting. I had my renewal dinner there last year. They have a new food and Beverage manager and I am hearing good things. I think the Bali Hai is a wonderful option. You could also suggest to your guests they stay at the resort so that makes it even more convenient. I don%26#39;t know where you are staying but you could have people meet somewhere else like the beach or a park (Anini) and have a bar b que. If you are staying at HBR there%26#39;s an area near the small pool and you could order appetizers from the restaurant to have down there.
On the North shore there aren%26#39;t too many options for dinner after a wedding. Postcards, BarACuda has an outdoor patio and The Princeville Hotel is about it. Only other options is to drive to Kapa%26#39;a.
September is a terrific time to be on Kauai and I know you and your guests will enjoy the North Shore and all it%26#39;s beauty.
Best wishes.
