Where to eat???

I need a recomendation for when %26amp; where to eat. I%26#39;m going to Maui in November and my husband and I will have one night out alone with no kid in tow. We are planning to go to Warren %26amp; Annabells for the show only. Where is a good place to eat that is very close to the Theater? The big problem is we are not seafood eaters. I would like a nice romantic restaurant where we can see the sunset.

Also, it looks like sunset will be just a little before 6:00 so would it be better for us to see the 7:30 show? or do the 5:30 show and just go in late? If you have been to the show before does showing up late mean you will get a bad seat in the back? Is one show better than the other?

Where to eat???

Showing up late means you won%26#39;t get in. Besides, it is a very good show and very entertaining and you really don%26#39;t want to miss any of it.

There are not a ton of options on the ocean side of the street in Lahaina for a nice romantic dinner. Kimo%26#39;s is up the street a couple of blocks. Make a reservation there and ask for a table along the rail. You%26#39;ll have a nice sunset view from there.

If you are willing to give up the sunset view in lieu of a spectacular dinner, there is a Ruth%26#39;s Chris virtually next door to the Warren and Annabelle theater. We have a rule about never eating in ';chain'; restaurants in Maui (ie Outback, Hard Rock, etc), but Ruth%26#39;s Chris is the one place we break the rule for.

Where to eat???

I%26#39;ve heard that the first two hours of the show are in the parlor and primarily for those that are eating. The posts on here all say show up an hour or so late then you don%26#39;t have to sit through the Annabelle part. But I do want to make sure I get in and get a good seat.(I plan to reserve ahead of time).

I did see that there was a Ruth%26#39;s Chris next door. I thought about going there and then doing the 7:30 show as it doesn%26#39;t open for dinner until 5:00. I also have the same thought about ';chain restaurants';. I was contemplating IO, but after looking at the menu online I only found one non-seafood option. Not sure how accurate the online menu is.

Since this is our one and only night out, I want to pick the best place.

As long as you arrive before the Annabelle portion of the show has ended, you%26#39;ll be in good shape. We showed up toward the end of dinner, saw all the Annabelle portion, and were fine.

Key to getting down close. Try to get seated toward the left of the Piano, or in the area by the bar. Those that haven%26#39;t been hand picked for the front row line up in no particular order at the stairs to the left of the piano and are seated front to back in the order they are lined up. While there is no real ';bad seat'; closer is better IMO.
