I am planning a holiday to hawaii in March with my husband,18yr old son and 16yr old daughter. Would like some advice on where to stay and which islands to go to. Approx 10 days. We like a combo of adventure and relaxing.

In 10 days no more than 2 islands. I%26#39;d suggest spending at least half you time on Kaua`i. Lots of great beaches and hikes, and things like zip line, helicopter tours, etc. We%26#39;re very oriented towards outdoor activities and are less built-up than any of the other islands.

You might want to repost to the main Hawai`i forum. This is on the Island of Hawai`i (Big Island) which does not encompass the entire state of Hawai`i.

My favorite islands in order are:

Oahu, Maui, Big Island, Kauai

With 10 days you have time for 2 islands.

Spend half the time on Oahu %26amp; half on one of the other islands. Maui would be my choice.

If you do not plan to rent a car, then stay on Oahu as it is the only island where you can get around without a car.
