We are narrowing down choices for a 3 night stay in April 08, first time to Hawaii. Not into nightclubs, usually choose mid priced accomodations (taking into consideration the city/location), trying for the most value to cost ratio, clean is important. Currently trying to compare the Outrigger and RQ Beach Hotel. Looking at both for partial ocean view rooms. Comments and suggestions most welcome. Thanks in advance. Gena
Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach or Resort Quest Beach Hotel?Gena, I don%26#39;t have first hand experience with the RQ, but I do with the Outrigger Waikiki. If you feel that the price is okay at the Outrigger, I%26#39;d stay there hands down. I have stayed there, going on my 5th time(March) and we love this hotel. The location is wonderful, and its right on the beach. You are at the center of the action and shopping. Partial Ocean view and City view are not that much different, but make sure to request the Diamond Head side of the hotel. Even with the City view, you should see the ocean to a degree.
Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach or Resort Quest Beach Hotel?The Outrigger would be my choice between those two, but I would also consider the New Otani Kaimana Beach Hotel and see what kind of a rate you can get there.
