Recommendations for Helicopter Tour Operator

I know there is already a thread on here about this topic but I wanted to get some more up to date feedback/ recommendations. Not sure if there have been any issues people are aware of as of late with these operators.

I would really like to do the open door tour, seems much more exciting. I have never been in a helicopter before but we fly in small planes from time to time and are ok.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Used Inter-Island helocopters out of Port Allen, with the doors off. Just fantastic! The county of Kauai uses that company for rescue missons on the island. Two passengers sit in the back with doors off, and two in the front, with the pilot on one side. The price is $220, no discounts in the thow aways, like some of the other operators.

We used Jack Harter in January for our doors-off tour. Everything was very professional. I was a bit nervous before the flight, but once I was buckled in, I had the flight of my life. I highly recommend Jack Harter. The doors-off tour is definitely the way to go (not that I have any experience otherwise, but if you%26#39;re game, you should definitely go for it.)

I%26#39;ve always been happy with Jack Harter and recommend them.

I%26#39;ll also vote for Jack Harter. Took the ';doors off'; early in the morning and had a wonderful flight.

We are staying near Lihue so I think that Jack Harter would be more convenient than inter island which seems to be the two that get recommended the most.

Any idea on where I can check out safety records? Or do you find thast out more through word of mouth?

We used Inter Island with the doors off back in September and it was just an amazing experience!

Have heard lots of great things about Jack Harter as well, but do not have any personal experience, but I don%26#39;t think you can go wrong in either case. These two companies seem to get consistently great reviews.
