Nice place for lunch in Laie?

We will be coming there in February. My husband grew up in Laie and we%26#39;d like to know where we should stop for lunch after visiting his old neighborhood. What do you recommend? We%26#39;ll probably go to PCC on another day.

I don%26#39;t know about lunch but we ate at the Hukilau (spelling?) Cafe in Laie for breakfast. I remember seeing lunch options. The cafe had good food and was very local. It was on a small side street and we almost passed it. I found it in the Lonely Planet guide book. If you want the address just email me.

Grew up on Oahu (Waianae). Whenever in Laie, we ate at L%26amp;T%26#39;s on the main highway. Big portions and popular. You must go to Halaeiwa for your shave ice.

Aloha and have a great time in paradise!

I meant L%26amp;L...oops!

Laie Chop Suey has great food. If you want nice surroundings go to Turtle Bay Resort, 10 minutes north. There are several good restaurants there. Hukilau has good local food but it%26#39;s mainly a take out joint with only a few tables inside. They also close earlier than most places. The atmosphere is funky but the food is plentiful and good. Try their specialty, roast pork. The L%26amp;L in Laie is not that great for some reason. You could go south down to Hauula Kai shopping center. Papa Ole has good food at a good price. Way better than L%26amp;L I think.
