Has anyone used Roberts of Hawaii Shore Excursions during your cruise? There prices seem much better than what the cruise line offers for their excursions. Also, how about the car rental that is offered by Roberts of Hawaii, is it better to go on your own or with Roberts and Budget Rental Car?
Thanks in advance for you help...
Roberts of Hawaii Shore ExcursionsCan anyone please comment... Thanks
Roberts of Hawaii Shore ExcursionsYes, I%26#39;ve used them twice and enjoyed them very much. I was on an NCL cruise and used either a car I rented myself, or a tour with Roberts. It all depends on what you want to do. Since there were four of us it was better to rent a car to Waimea canyon and take our time going up, and stop at outher places like Poipu Beach on the way back to the ship. We did do the Hanelei Tour (North Kauai) with Roberts ....It was one of the highlights of my trip. I finally know where Puff the Magic Dragon lives. :-) They just started this tour in August, and it is not offered by anyone else.
The cruise line excursions are overpriced. We didn%26#39;t bother doing the NCL excursions as we rented a car most days. When you first board they will give you a heavy sales pitch to sign up for their excursions.
The other Roberts tour we did was the North Shore (Sunset Beach, Dole, etc.) It was well worth it. On both tours the guides were able to bring us to extra stops as time permitted. You can store your luggage on the Oahu bus and have them drop you off at the airport or hotel after the tour. I think they are the largest tour company in Hawaii.
Hope this helps.
