Hawaiian Cultural Events in October

Hello,

I will be visiting Kauai Oct. 1-9 and was wondering if there are any special festivals/cultural events happening on the island at that time. I had heard thru the forum that Koloagirl hosts a Torchlighting at the Hyatt. Is this a one time thing or does it happen weekly? I would love to see that!

Go to your local Borders Books or Barnes and Noble ... pick up a Hawaii Magazine. They have festivals and such listed.

Also - take a look at your hotel website. Many have local events listed as well ... and check the Hawaii Visitor and Convention Bureau website.
