Moving to Maui

I am buying a business that is located near the harbor. Moving my family (all adults, wife and three sons). Where would be a good place to look for a home? Willing to pay up to $1.2M.

Near which harbor?

You should be asking this of a real estate agent. A lot will depend on what you want personally. Do you want to be near the beach, live in a cooler area, want new construction, need land, need an `ohana, want to live in a subdivision, a condo, a SFH, etc? For 1.2 M you could buy a condo in a resort area or a chunk of land with a modest home and even an `ohana upcountry.

I don%26#39;t know if you%26#39;ve already moved but my sister-in-law is a Maui Real Estate expert there. Aran Parsons is her name you can contact her here if you have questions %26lt;a href=';http://tinyurl.com/yvn4cn';%26gt;Maui Real Estate%26lt;/a%26gt;

Hope the new business and move go smoothly.

Best,

We all have family in real estate here, but we don%26#39;t advertise it on this forum. Nice first post.

Which harbor? Kahalui? Wailuku? Have you been there in person? There are many empty buildings in Wailuku toward the harbor. We found the remains of what must have been a beautiful Japanese fish market; the owner had died recently. The equipment was still on the floor, the selection and prices were still posted on the windows. Next door there was a former Japanese restaurant converted into an artist%26#39;s loft.

A lot of cool old buildings with lots of character. Perhaps the local mall drained off some of the business. I hope you can help revive that area. Good luck.

I would live in Kula if I moved there.
