Budget Car Rental

I will be going to maui in late September and have booked a rental car through Budget. Does anyone know if they have a shuttle bus to pick you up from the airport to take you where you pick up your car. Thank you

Yes they do. If you can send someone to the shuttle while the other waits for the luggage it will speed you through. My husand was back with the car to pick me up about 1 minute after I had our luggage!

All of the car rental shuttles pick up from the same area. It is pretty well marked outside of baggage claim.

You head outside from the baggage claim area. If your back is to the building, all the car rental agencies have small booths on the right side. The shuttle buses all pick folks up behind those booths. You can not make arrangements for pick up at the airport for most ... have to take the shuttle. If not already a member, see if Budget has a premier or preferred traveller program, sometimes called FastTrack. Usually you can join for free and one of the major benefits at Kahului on Maui - don%26#39;t have to stand in any long lines to pick up your reserved car.

Also depending on when you leave, we always check in early. Check with airlines on how early they will accept your checked bags; sometimes up to 4-6 hours before flight. And definitely use the porters - they can make everything so much faster and easier esp. ag check. They even get my overweight bags on for no extra fees - I tip them BIG !!! Then we keep rent car with our carry on items and head to the beach, 5 mins down highway to Baldwin or behind rent car area in Kahului - there is Kahana with the kite boarders. A picnic area, shaded area on beach. We prefer to wriggle our toes in the sand and wring every last moment out of our Maui experience ... then turn in rent car, take shuttle with just our carry on and only have to do the one thing - security check in - just before our flight.

If you have a late departure - be aware many of airport vendors close up by 9 pm ... if you want to buy water to have to drink on your flight, since you can%26#39;t carry it through, there is only the option of vending machines. And several times when we had 10 pm departures for red eye - the vending machines were out too !!!!

With the fastrack program-do they send you a card in the mail or something. I signed up but it was kind of vague.

No, you get no card with Fast Break....it should just post on your email confirmation, on the right side I believe - mine has a Fast Break logo on the right
