Trying to decide on place to stay between Naplil Kai and Royal Lahaina. How are the interiors of the studios at Napili, I know Royal has recently been renovated. No air conidtioning at NK, is that a problem? Would love to hear recent reviews on both or open to other places.

We stayed at Royal Lahaina before the remodel (ocean view) and liked it a lot...though the general concensus is to stay in the tower and avoid the cottages.
We%26#39;re staying at Napili Kai in 2 weeks...I can give you a comparison after Oct. 10!

Personally, I think the Kai would be the better choice if for the location alone! The RL is located a bit far from the heart of Ka%26#39;anapali, though the recently refurbished rooms are actually quite nice. The part of Napili bay where the Kai is located is simply one of the most beautiful streaches of beach anywhere in Hawai%26#39;i !! Also, the staff there is awesome and full of Aloha! Don%26#39;t miss the Seahouse for sunset dining, also they have a great breakfast without the long lines at the eversopopular Gazebo...
