i have an offer on unit 103 (or 302, but i think i like 103) for polo beach for $375 a night. what do you think? good rate? anyone stayed in this unit(s)?
how does this compare to kahana village? thanks.
need advice on polo beachWas the offer through Aplus resorts? When are you planning on going?
need advice on polo beachyes, it was through aplus resorts. he said the 375 was a discount. i%26#39;m going in 2 months in november so i%26#39;m kind of desperate.
I have not stayed at the Polo beach condos but was looking into staying there last month. I had a great last minute offer on #104 for $350 per night but it was only a week or two before my trip whn they dropped it that low. It usually went for about $700 per nigt in August. I was already paid at the Whaler by the time I recieved the offer so I couldn%26#39;t take it.
The Polo beach condos are right next door to th Kea Lani and share the same beach. They are actually much closer to the beach than the Kea Lani. I tink that $375 for a 2 bedroom oceanfront in Wailea is a great deal. I don%26#39;t know if you have looked into the resort prices in that area.
movemetowailea, thanks for your message. do you know who/where you got that 350 offer from? was it also aplusresorts? thanks.
It was a real nice woman from aplus that called me. It was very close to my departure date and they had some space to fill. I had been checking with them for availability but the rates were higher than I wanted to spend.I had already given my word and mailed a check the the VRBO Whaler owner when she called with the offer. We ended up 3 nights at the Whaler in Kaanapalli and 3 nights at the Wailea marriott. It was hard to move to a hotel room after having the space of a condo! I don%26#39;t think Aplus would have given me an offer for that low af a price had it been two months out. #104 is the unit that is directly facing ocean front.
If you end up staying there I would love to here how you lked it.
thanks for your reply. if i do stay there, i%26#39;ll let you know. 375, although a great deal is still above our budget. gotta convince the husband.
can i ask you another question since you stayed both in the south and west...did you like one over the other? thanks.
Polo Beach Club in Wailea is more upscale than anything I know of in Kahana -- suppose you%26#39;ve already guessed that from the pricing. It%26#39;s also right ON a fabulous beach. However, do you want South Maui or West Maui? Maybe you prefer to be near to the buzz of Lahaina and Kaanapali instead of in quieter Wailea.
November isn%26#39;t usually terribly busy anywhere on Maui. How about offering $350 if you want Polo Beach? (Doesn%26#39;t Destinations Maui rep that place?)
Have you also considered Wailea Ekahi or Elua? Should be less than Polo and are also oceanfront in Wailea.
Kahana Village is a great place for Kahana but for the money, I would stay at Polo Beach as the beach is much nicer! And of course it is in a more upscale area. Kahana is more of a neighborhood and the area around Polo Beach is a resort.
