snorkeling tour

I am wanting to book a morning picnic snorkel tour. Any advise on the best ones, and the best locations they take you to? I have been on the Fair Winds II that went to Cooks Cove about a year ago and loved it. Is that the best one or are there others?

See below for an earlier discussion covering your question. I really enjoyed my snorkel cruise aboard the Sea Paradise. It was my favorite activity during my 2 weeks in Hawaii (on 3 different islands).

at this time the only snorkel-pick-nick is done by Ocean Sports out of the Marriott in Kohala

Fairwinds dosent do a pick-nick just a burger and chips on the return from Capt cook. Sadly this location has become so impacted by Kayakers that you would not recognize it......dead coral.

hundreds of thrashing bodies.. scant fish, . A sad vestage of what you might have seen...... the site is so over visited and now half the reef is closed ot all entry.... ( the best part).

sea paradise is an alernative... goes to nice places has a deli-lunch but nothing on the shore.... only Ocean sports .

Depends what you mean by picnic--if you mean lunch (but not lunch landing on a beach) then Winona out of Mauna Lani does a nice one to the coast (between Puako and Four Seasons, depending on conditions). Red Sails out of Waikoloa goes in the same area. There is also a Red Sails out of Honokohou that I imagine goes around there.

Kamanu out of Honokohou offers trips and lunch to Pawai, also a nice spot.

We like the Sea Paradise trips, nice sanwichd lunch. Not a burger fan and besides I don%26#39;t want to smell burning beef fat when I am snorkeling :-)

I didn%26#39;t know that Ocean Sports did a shore picnic (?).
