Regency Club Floor at Hyatt---worth the extra $$$?

Will be checking into the Hyatt 3 weeks from Wednesday for part 2 of our our Hawaiian Honeymoon. Right now we are booked into a Deluxe Partial Ocean View Room. I%26#39;ve heard that the cost of upgrading into the Regency Club Floors is an additional $75/night for a comparable room.

We will be there for 6 nights.

If anyone has stayed in the Regency Club, could someone specify what we would be getting if I am to do the upgrade?

Is the room itself larger/nicer or is it simply the complimentary cocktails/appatizers from 5:30-6:30 every night that I%26#39;ve read about on Hyatt%26#39;s website.

I think that between the 2 of us, we may be able to eat/drink $75 worth of cocktails/apps during this hour but just wondering if it included anything else.

Thanks in advance. Can%26#39;t wait!

I also forgot to add that the package I booked through Costco Travel includes Daily Breakfast in the Swan Court restaurant so the continental breakfast on the Regency Club seems to be of no use to us.

We always stay on the Rengency Club floor at the Hyatt Regency Maui. To me it is very much worth it. I%26#39;m not sure about the upgrade prices as we always book a Regency Club room. The rooms are pretty much the same as the regular rooms in the Atium tower...not really any larger but very nice. As for the club lounge itself, it is really more than just for afternoon cocktails. Continental breakfast is served from about 6:30 am %26#39;til 10:00 am which makes for a nice place to have breakfast. The lounge is open all day and usually has water, soft drinks, coffee, cookies and other things to snack on. The evening cocktail service is from 5:00 pm %26#39;til 7:00 pm and there are plenty of hot %26amp; cold appetizers, cheese, crackers, dips, chips, fruit, etc. If you don%26#39;t have a big appetite at night, you can make a meal out of it.

I am a very frequent guest at Hyatt%26#39;s, and often upgraded to Regency floor. It is generally very good with all the amenities you mentioned. However, since you are getting the buffet breakfast in Swan Court (which is great), I really have to question the value of the extra cost.

The rooms are usually the same on and off the regency floor

This is just my opinion.

You will love this hotel, my wife and I stayed there twice including this past July. We have stayed in both partial ocean view and full ocean front (where we were upgraded to for free this past trip). Both had great views.

Enjoy.
