Hawaiiana Festival at the Hyatt

Anyone (Janet??) have any info on the Hawaiiana Fest at the Hyatt? Looks like it is from 10/18-10/21, but I have not been able to locate any specific info online about a schedule and what is occuring each day. I am especially interested in hula. I will be staying in Princeville, so would like to come for 1 day, but would like to get more specific info on daily activities to decide which day. Mahalo!!

Aloha from Kaua%26#39;i!

On October 19th the Grand Hyatt is hosting the Aloha Festival%26#39;s

';Hawaiiana Festival'; -- this will be where the main lobby area of the hotel and the area around Seaview Terrace will be filled with practitioners of various Hawaiian cultural activities -- some of the ones that they have had in the past include poi pounding, hawaiian net mending, lauhala weaving, lei hulu (feather lei) demonstrations.

They also usually have many crafters with things such as

';Pupu %26#39;O Ni%26#39;ihau'; (Ni%26#39;ihau shell leis) and ki%26#39;i carving (tiki).

Usually they have live entertainment all day and into the evening at the Seaview Terrace as well -- I haven%26#39;t seen the official ';line-up'; for this year so I%26#39;m not sure who they have.

This is all part of the 2007 Aloha Festival here on Kaua%26#39;i!

Malama Pono,

Janet
