The 6 wheel drive Pinzgauer tour looks like it%26#39;s a lot of fun, but I can%26#39;t seem to find too many posts on it - has anyone done it? Is it as much fun as it looks?

yes.......... It is done by Hawaii Forest and trails and climbs 8000 ft to the top of Haulauli mt, which is private and closed to entry anyotherway
Only about 1/2 the trip is on 4x4 roads and the fantastic ascent through 20 ft tree ferns in to alpine is pretty wild.... you also get to see a number of cones on top...... its some thing you cant do any other way

very....its a bigisland 4x4 road.... and they are very rough
Right....but do they take it easy or make the bumps a thrill ride?
Hawaii Forst %26amp; Trails is a classy operation, they care about the environment as well as about the people taking their tours and their tours are very educational.
So would you recommend this ride?

yes but you have to be into nature and discovery more than 4x4.
