If we are staying in Kahana or the Napili area, do we have to go thru Lahaina to get there or is there a road that goes on the north side of the island?
Getting from OGG to Kahana
The main road will take you past Lahaina - I don%26#39;t really reccoment taking the northern route especially upon first arriving, you will be tired and it is a road requiring much attention. The highway taking you past Lahaina will take you along the coastline of West Maui and it%26#39;s pretty - although since only two lanes there again requires vigillance. You won%26#39;t actually be going %26#39;through%26#39; Lahaina - city limits yes, but not %26#39;town%26#39;.
