Catamaran tours--Who's best for Na Pali?

Aloha,

We%26#39;re going to Kauai in September and are considering a catamaran/snorkeling cruise to Na Pali. Based on some of the posts here and other research, we%26#39;re looking at Na Pali Catamaran. Are they considered the best for snorkeling and basic sightseeing? Is there anyone else we should consider?

Thanks!

I just reserved a tour with them yesterday for July. I chose them because they launch from Hanalei, and the tour had a positive review in Kauai Revealed.

I took the Na Pali Catamaran tour in September 2006, based on recommendations in the Ultimate Kauai Guidebook. I did not regret it at all either. In fact, I highly recommend them because you%26#39;re really not spending a lot of time travelling to the Na Pali coast. You%26#39;re pretty much right there when you launch from Hanalei Bay. The snorkeling part of it was fine, though the attraction for me was the scenery and that is what made the experience worthwhile.

We took the Na Pali Catamaran tour last June and loved it. Try to get on one of the morning tours since the seas will normally be calmer. You%26#39;ll probably need to book well in advance since the morning tours fill up quickly.

I am also trying to book a Na Pali catamaran/snorkel cruise. Is Na Pali Catamaran the name of the co or the name of one of the sails with a company. I can%26#39;t seem to locate a departure from Hanalei. We will be on the north shore and would prefer this site of departure. HELP!. Thank you.

Na Pali Catamaran is the company. Here is their website:

They won%26#39;t start their trips again until some time in May.

Bummer. I will be there from April 20th thru April April 25th. I checked the web site and they have a 3 hour tour(weather permitting) in April but no snorkeling. Are there any other companies that depart from Hanalei? I thought the North Shore was relatively calm in April? Thanks again.

We%26#39;ve taken the Na Pali Catamaran tour twice and loved it both times. We chose that tour because it leaves out of Hanalei, which means you don%26#39;t spend a lot of time getting to the Na Pali coast. Plus, Hanalei Bay is such a beautful place to sail out of. Our first trip was the afternoon tour, and the water was a little murky, so snorkeling wasn%26#39;t so great. So on our second trip we decided to take the morning tour. We called the day after we arrived and could not get a morning tour on any day of the week we were there. We took the afternoon tour anyway and had a blast. The snorkeling was better than the first time around, and we got to see a turtle right under our boat. The people running the boat were very nice - my daughter left a bag of things on board, and they were nice enough to come back with the boat so we could pick it up. I would highly recommend it - if you can%26#39;t get a morning tour, then take the afternoon. You won%26#39;t regret it.

Thanks everyone for the recommendations... I just booked with Na Pali Catamaran for a morning trip--I can%26#39;t wait!

How early can you book these tours? We wont be there till July. Also are kids age 9%26amp;11 ok to go on this?

I%26#39;m going in July as well and I booked the tour a couple of days ago. Their web site isn%26#39;t the most informative; I didn%26#39;t see any age restrictions listed. You%26#39;ll have to call them to make a reservation, so you can ask. I%26#39;m sure they%26#39;ll be fine, though
